Direct Investing Ecosystem - Investor Accelerators & Clubs
As we work to build the infrastructure for community members to be able to invest directly in the social ventures (nonprofits, startups, businesses, funds, cooperatives, hybrids, and more) they care about, Investor Clubs are a critical step forward. Building on the success of CO Impact Days and our growing network of Impact Investing Giving Circles (Accelerators), Investor Clubs are the next step in achieving Impact Finance Center’s vision of a Main Street 2.0.
- For investors ready to take the leap to invest directly into social ventures they care about, an Investor Club is a way to bring together ventures and investors in a targeted geography or interest area, share due diligence expenses, and more
- Must be an accredited investor to participate - IFC is not a broker and does not provide investment advice
Investor Accelerators / Impact Investing Giving Circles
- For asset owners new to impact investing, these accelerators are a low-risk, social, and fun entry into the world of direct investing
- Each member contributes to a pooled fund held at a Community Foundation then participates in 9-12 educational workshops then the group puts out a Call for Social Ventures to decide where to invest the pooled funds
